Arizona - Part 2

(Disclaimer: Gambit is normally rearfacing because he is well under the 35lb weight limit. However our rental car was too small for his car seat to fit rear facing and since he is over two I was okay with him forward facing for the trip)

Arizona - Part 1

Antonio and I took the boys to a resort in Phoenix, Arizona the first week of May. We had so much fun enjoying the sun and warm weather and visiting Antonio's brother, Uncle Mister. He's stationed at a base in Tuscon, but he drove up to spend a day with us.

Old Notes

This is an old note I wrote to some family a few years ago. It was written on August 17, 2007 and it has updates on the boys at that time.

Time keeps moving on and the boys are getting older (as am I...eek!). I can't decide if I'm excited or sad about that. Gambit and I recently took a trip down to St. George, Utah to visit some family. He quite enjoyed himself, and we discovered while there that he is very much a water baby. He was great on the plane (I took only Gambit because I did not dare take two small children on a plane by myself), and finally learned how to sleep while we were there. For the first time in 11 months (who's counting?) I got a straight 8 hours of sleep. Yes, my 10 month old was still getting up every two hours to eat. No, I am not exaggerating. I think I may finally be emerging from this zombie-like state I have been living in. Gambit has also tried walking in the last week or so. He doesn't quite have it down, but he's really trying! Ninja has successfully mastered the art of relieving himself in the toilet. It only took about one week for it to really click. He's been accident free for 2 weeks and counting! Ninja is really exercising his independence lately. His favorite phrase is 'Leave me alone!' That is usually coupled with some sort of glare. He is really growing up and is no longer my little baby. Heck, he's not even a toddler anymore with all the frog catching, and dirt shoveling he does!

Lineage

This is another thing I want to remember and have documented. A friend of mine did this for her husband for Fathers Day a long time ago. I thought it was so cool so I made one for Antonio a few years ago. It's a direct line of his Priesthood lineage. I think it's neat to see, and something I'd love the boys to have as they get older.

Love Notes

Just a note from my mom that I want to remember. Since this blog has now become my journal, I'm putting it here. I'm really not trying to brag about myself.

Dear Mrs. Mom,
I'm so proud of you for the courage and commitment you bring to your mothering and to your life. Thanks for being an awesome mom to my precious grandsons. And thanks for all the fun and friendship we share. You are (seriously) THE BEST!!
Love you forever,
Mom

I love my mom. She is so amazingly awesome. I hit the jackpot when I was chosen to be a daughter to her.

Mothers Day - 2009

Ninja's Mothers Day reflections:

My Mommy looks pretty when she puts pretty stuff on when she goes to church.

My favorite dinner my mommy makes is soup, noodles, peas, and mashed potatoes.

I like to tickle with my mommy.

I love my mommy because she gives me kisses and hugs.

Happy Mothers Day!

Love,
Ninja

Fishin' Days

Antonio took Ninja fishing this morning. Ninja had a great time and caught two fish. Poor daddy didn't catch any. We grilled them and ate them up for lunch (rainbow trout). Yum!
